Today was the first day of our big adventure. Left Bendigo rain, cold and wind and a balmy 10 degrees. Arrived in Sydney to a beautiful 23 degrees gorgeous and sunny.
After a couple of celebratory drinks it was onto our jumbo and 14 hours of eating, movies and trying to catch a few hours of sleep. Arrived in L.A. at 2.30pm local time.
After settlig into our hotel, Grabbos and Mozzies headed off to Venice Beach to check out the locals and the famous Muscle Beach. Popples stayed back and relaxed by the pool for a few hours. Warm ,sunny and 25 degrees ( just had to rub it in) , Back to the hotel to grab a bit to eat and then fell into bed to sleep soundly till 2am( don't you love jet lag).
Highlights so far
Richie giving Qantas the wrong bording pass so all the flight crew knew where we were going.
Col getting a full body search ( only a pat down) before boarding to L A - it was the Harley Tshirt that did it.
No sav blanc in the hotel bar
The indisputable fact that there are never enough ladies toilets wheree
ver you go.
